Jacob Hardman

Originally from Stamford, Connecticut, Jacob has been an active participant in the British Brass Band community for nearly a decade. Since graduating from Howard University with a BBA in Finance in 2018, he has performed with multiple ensembles in the greater region, including the Rockville Brass Band, Atlantic Brass Band, and most recently The Brass Band of Northern Virginia.  He is incredibly excited to see the Cherry Blossom Brass Band come to life and looks forward to helping guide it towards success both on and off the competition stage.

 

Before participating in the British Brass Band tradition, Jacob performed in both WGI and Drum Corps (DCA) competitive ensembles. After leaving the Marching Arts in 2013, he has played a supporting role in a number of Brass Bands, including serving as a member of Rockville’s Board of Directors as Chair of Financial and Strategic growth. He has also been an active competitive participant during this time, most recently taking 2nd in the 2023 NABBA Solo Percussion contest, and previously winning both the U.S. Open and NABBA in Championship Section with Atlantic Brass Band. 

 

When not playing music, Jacob is a Senior Manager in the Strategy Consulting group at Capital One. Jacob recently relocated to New York City where he lives with his girlfriend Sabrina and their cat, Salem.
